چکیده
Onion (Allium cepa) is a valuable vegetable and candidate for sustainable waste management in agri-food industry. The purpose of the current paper was to research utilization onion peels an economical substrate inulinase production by Yarrowia lipolytica ISF7 strain under solid state fermentation (SSF). SSF preferred obtain effective low-cost production. medium designation optimized using Taguchi design experiment. For this purpose, L9 orthogonal array layout applied moisture content, initial pH incubation time as selected factors at three levels. results showed that minimum activity 22.7 U g-1 dry (ds) determined 6th experimental setup while highest 292.2 gds-1 measured from 5th setup. predicted value 311.6 which closer obtained result (305.1 gds-1). Consequently, can be achieved Y. economic SSF.

Xylanase Production under Solid State Fermentation by Aspergillus niger
Central composite orthogonal design was applied to quantify relations of xylanase production, loss of dry matter and change of pH with four critical variables during solid state fermentation of a mixture of wheat bran and wheat straw on which Aspergillus niger CCUG 33991 was cultivated. The studied variables included the percentage of wheat straw, temperature, moisture content, and fermentati...
متن کاملSolid State Fermentation for Production of Chitosan by Aspergillus Niger
The effect of Solid State Fermentation (SSF) on Chitosan production by A. niger was investigated. A. niger BBRC 20004 from Biochemical and Bioenvironmental Research Centre of Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran), was grown on corn residue. Chitosan was extracted from the fungal mycelia using hot alkaline and acid treatment. A. niger was incubated for 12 days on corn residue with moist...
متن کاملOptimization of Inulinase Production from Garlic by Streptomyces sp. in Solid State Fermentation Using Statistical Designs
Plackett-Burman design was employed for screening 18 nutrient components for the production of inulinase using Garlic as substrate by Streptomyces sp. in solid-state fermentation (SSF). From the experiments, 4 nutrients, namely, NH(4)NO(3), MnSO(4)·7H(2)O, Soya bean cake, and K(2)HPO(4) were found to be most significant nutrient components. Hence, these 4 components are selected. The selected c...
متن کاملCellulase Production Under Solid-State Fermentation by Ethanolic Zygomycetes Fungi: Application of Response Surface Methodology
Background and Objectives: Cellulase is an important enzyme with multiple applications in industries, including food, laundry, pharmaceutical, textile, pulp, paper and biofuel industries. Solid-state fermentation (SSF) is a method for cellulase production, which includes several advantages, compared to submerged fermentation. In this study, cellulase was produced by three filamentous fungi, i.e...
متن کاملEnhanced inulinase production by Streptomyces sp. in solid state fermentation through statistical designs
In this work, inulinase was produced by solid state fermentation by Streptomyces sp. using copra waste as carbon source. The nutrients were screened by Plackett-Burman design. From the pareto chart it was found that the nutrients, namely, soya bean cake, MgSO4·7H2O and (NH4)2SO4 were found to be most significant nutrient components. Hence, these three components were selected for further optimi...
